    -Restoring through rest

    -Expressing your story

    -Developing your identity

This approach honors the whole woman…emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually…so she feels seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

  • Birth Debriefing Session

Birth isn’t just a physical event…it’s an emotional and psychological experience that can shape how you feel about yourself, your body, your baby, and your motherhood journey. Whether your birth was empowering, unexpected, or deeply distressing, you deserve a space to reflect, release, and rebuild.

Our 90-minute Birth Debriefing session is a trauma-informed, guided conversation designed to help you process your birth experience with compassion and clarity. Using our signature C.O.V.E.R.E.D. Method, we’ll explore your emotional, physical, and mental experience from pregnancy through postpartum. Topics often discussed include unmet expectations, provider interactions, medical interventions, birth trauma, grief, joy, confusion, and your identity as a mother.

    Many mothers seek debriefing to:

Make sense of overwhelming or conflicting emotions

Heal from trauma, fear, or disappointment related to birth

Feel validated, seen, and heard in a safe, nonjudgmental space

Gain clarity before another pregnancy or birth

Reclaim their birth story as part of their healing journey

    When to Schedule:
Evidence suggests that birth debriefing is most effective when offered within the first 6 weeks postpartum, when emotional processing can prevent or reduce symptoms of postpartum depression, anxiety, and PTSD. However, healing has no deadline—whether it’s been weeks or years since your birth, your story still matters.

    Session Price:

    Covered Mama Community Member: $85

    Non-Members: $150

  • Covered in Rest: Overnight doula support for Mama's Mental Health

Overnight Doula Support for Mama’s Mental Health
    Available Sunday–Wednesday nights | 9:00 PM–6:00 AM
Exclusively for Covered Mama Community Members

The early postpartum weeks are a time of intense physical recovery and emotional adjustment…and rest is not a luxury, it’s a lifeline. Covered in Rest is a trauma-informed overnight doula service designed to protect maternal mental health by giving mothers the one thing they need most: uninterrupted sleep, compassionate support, and peace of mind.

This service is available Sunday through Wednesday evenings, with overnight shifts running from 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM, depending on your needs.

During your shift, your Ja’Neen will:

Tend to baby care overnight (diapering, soothing, bottle feeding or bringing baby to nurse)

    Monitor and support postpartum recovery

Create a calming, restful environment for the birthing parent

Gently check in on emotional well-being

Provide nonjudgmental support and reassurance through the night

Why this matters: Research shows that sleep deprivation increases the risk of postpartum depression, anxiety, and other perinatal mood disorders. By offering consistent overnight care during the most vulnerable hours, Covered in Rest helps protect your mental health, promote healing, and restore your nervous system…so you can wake up feeling grounded, supported, and covered.

    Prices:
